New Hampshire Humanities has been connecting people to culture, history, places, ideas and one another for four decades.
No matter what the topic, the goal is to spark open-ended questions of meaning and value. Essential questions. Ones that are important, and timeless, and can’t be answered with a yes, a no, or a fact. How each of us answers essential questions is what makes us who we are.
New Hampshire Humanities’ most accessible and far-reaching program is their speakers bureau, Humanities to Go. It enables nonprofit organizations and community groups to offer free, high-quality cultural programs to the public at minimal cost to the host. Each year 450 Humanities to Go programs get 15,000-plus NH residents together in more than 165 local community settings to learn together on topics that challenge one’s understanding of the past and expand one’s perspectives.
